NHS 111 is a new service that has been introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS HEALTHCARE SERVICES. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but itís not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.
If you take antibiotics when you do not need them, you could be helping to make bacteria resistent to them.
It means that the drugs can no longer kill the bacteria they are meant to fight.
Your GP will advise when it is appropriate to take antibiotics

What is EDSM Enhanced Data Sharing Model?
On a patient by patient basis, eDSM uses a secure computer system that allows the sharing of full electronic records accross different NHS care services. It allows the patient to decide whether to share information out of an organisation and to control what information comes in to that organisation. The patient's decisions can be changed at any time.. This system is currently being rolled-out.

Patients requiring urgent assessment before the surgery reopens will be given an alternative number to ring during periods of closure. Ring 701834 for details. NHS 111 service is available all year round if its less than an emergency and you need help any time of day or night.

Statement of Intent
New contractual requirements came into force from 1 April 2014 requiring that GP Practices should make available a statement of intent in relation to the following IT developments :
1. Summary Care Record (SCR)
2. GP to GP Record Transfers
3. Patient Online Access to Their GP Record
4. Data for commissioning and other secondary care purposes
The same contractual obligations require that we have a statement of intent regarding these developments in place and publicised by 30 September 2014.
